Composite Doors
How much does a composite door cost in the UK?
A composite door supply and fit typically costs between £1,200 and £2,500 depending on the style, glazing, hardware and whether you need a side panel. Our prices start from £1,600 for a standard supply and fit. We always confirm the final price after your free home survey.
How long does a composite door last?
A quality composite door will last 30 years or more with minimal maintenance. Unlike timber, it won't warp, crack, rot or fade. Unlike uPVC, it won't discolour in UV light. All our composite doors come with a 10-year guarantee.
Are composite doors more secure than uPVC?
Yes. Composite doors have a solid timber core, a GRP outer skin and a multi-point locking system as standard. Our PAS24 certified options meet the highest UK security standards and are Secured by Design approved.
Do composite doors need painting?
No — never. The colour is integral to the GRP skin and will not fade, peel or need repainting. Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Bifold Doors
How much do bifold doors cost?
Aluminium bifold doors typically cost between £2,500 and £8,000+ supply and fit, depending on the number of panels and the width of the opening. As a guide: a 3-panel bifold starts from around £3,500 and a 4-panel from around £4,500. We confirm the exact price after your free survey.
Do I need planning permission for bifold doors?
In most cases, no. Replacing existing doors or windows with bifold doors is usually covered by permitted development rights. However, if you live in a listed building or conservation area, you may need planning permission. Our team will advise you during your free survey.
How wide can bifold doors be?
Aluminium bifold doors can span openings from 1.8m to 7m+. We offer 2 to 7 panel configurations. For very wide openings, we'll advise on the best configuration during your survey.
Windows
How much do new windows cost?
Replacement window costs vary depending on the material, size and number of windows. As a guide: a standard uPVC casement window starts from around £400-600 supply and fit. Aluminium windows start from around £600-900 per window. We'll give you a fixed price for your whole project after the free survey.
How long do double glazed windows last?
Most double glazed units last 20-25 years before the sealed unit fails. Signs of failure include condensation between the panes, draughts around the frame, or difficulty opening and closing. If your windows are over 20 years old, it's worth getting them assessed.
What's the difference between aluminium and uPVC windows?
Aluminium windows have slimmer frames (more glass, better views), are stronger, last longer (40+ years) and come in unlimited colours. uPVC windows are cheaper and have excellent insulation but have bulkier frames and fewer colour options. See our full Aluminium vs uPVC guide.
